FAQs

Yes. Merle Free includes student profiles, homework assignments, your own audio or video models, and home-practice tracking for up to 10 active students. Scheduling, session records, and formal reports are part of School and Pro.

Spriggy subscriptions are separate from the SLP’s website subscription and are handled through the Apple App Store: $3.99/month for the first child and $2/month for each additional child. Explore Spriggy.

School is $7.99 per SLP per month, with no active-student limit. It includes Free’s homework tools, plus scheduling, session planning, goal tracking, manually written session notes, and progress reports to help prepare for IEP meetings. Spriggy is a separate paid App Store subscription for families. AI session recording and automated documentation belong to Pro.

Merle Pro is coming soon and is not available to subscribe to yet. The planned tier brings together Free and School tools, plus AI session recording, transcription, SOAP-note drafts, and progress summaries. You’ll review and edit drafts before adding them to the student’s record.

AI results are estimates for the therapist to review alongside the recording. Accuracy can vary with the child’s speech, accent, target sound, and recording conditions. Validation against clinician-rated samples is in progress, so a measured accuracy rate is not yet available.

No. Merle Free includes review of AI-scored practice attempts and the feedback given. You can replay recordings when optional review audio is enabled. School adds scheduling, session records, and reporting. Pro’s upcoming AI tools focus on session documentation and report drafts.

Merle Clinic / District is planned and is not available to subscribe to yet. We’re shaping shared resources, team administration, and organization reporting for clinics and school districts. A free, unscored child app is planned for this tier; it is not available yet. Pricing and included capacity will be announced before launch.

Merle’s HIPAA compliance work is still in progress. Contact us to review the current security documentation and agreements before using Merle with protected health information.

Saving audio for therapist review is optional. When enabled, saved attempts can be replayed alongside their scores. See our privacy policy for recording, retention, and deletion details.

Merle focuses on speech-sound practice, with targets including /r/, /s/, /z/, /l/, /k/, /g/, /f/, /v/, /sh/, /ch/, and /th/. Filter words by sound, position, and syllable count to fit each child’s goals.
